Laura is originally from the traditional territory of the Patwin and Miwok peoples and currently lives on the unceded territory of the lək ̓ ʷəŋən and the W̱SÁNEĆ peoples, whose historical relationship with the land continues to this day. She graduated from the University of Victoria with a B.A. in English and Germanic Studies (Honours) and has previous experience working at a local bookstore as well as doing freelance editing work.

She is very grateful to be a part of a team that is dedicated to reconciliation and positive change.
